WÓPÍLA 2026

A Thanksgiving Dinner Church & Evening of Gratitude

Tuesday, November 24, 2026 | 6:00–8:00 p.m.
All Nations Indian Church
1515 E. 23rd Street, Minneapolis, MN

All Nations Indian Church invites our congregations, ministry partners, neighbors, and friends to gather for Wopíla, an evening of gratitude, community, and shared generosity.

Wopíla is a Lakota expression of thanksgiving and gratitude. For us at All Nations, it is an opportunity to say thank you to the many people and communities who have walked alongside us, shared their gifts, and helped sustain this sacred place.

Together, we will share our traditional community Stone Soup meal, music, storytelling, prayer, and Dinner Church as we give thanks for the relationships that connect us.

Reserve a Friendship Table

This year, we invite congregations, ministries, and community organizations to host a Friendship Table of six.

Hosting a table is more than reserving seats. It is an invitation to gather your community in a shared act of gratitude and generosity.

Each sponsoring congregation or organization is asked to gather a collective financial gift on behalf of its community to support All Nations Indian Church. These gifts will help replace our courtyard doors, which need to be replaced within the coming year, and sustain our ongoing ministries and church operations.

There is no required donation amount. We invite each community to give according to its ability. An offering will also be received during Dinner Church for those who wish to contribute individually.

Seating is limited to 14 tables of six.

To make registration easier, tables will be reserved through congregations and organizations rather than individual ticket registrations.

Please have one representative register on behalf of your congregation or organization and indicate how many tables you would like to host.

Individuals who are not part of a participating congregation or organization are also welcome! Please contact All Nations Indian Church about available seating.

Stone Soup & Community Candles

Our Thanksgiving meal will be created from ingredients and contributions shared by our community. Together, we will enjoy bison and vegetarian Stone Soup, accompanied by bread and desserts.

We also invite each participating congregation or ministry to bring a decorated white glass prayer candle representing something your community is grateful for, something you have carried this year, or a hope you bring into the coming year.

During Dinner Church, we will gather these candles together as an expression of our shared gratitude, prayers, and hope.

After registering, your table contact will receive additional information, including how to contribute to our Stone Soup meal, volunteer opportunities, candle instructions, and ways to support the ministry.

We hope you will join us for this special evening of thanksgiving and community.

Come to the table. Share a meal. Give thanks. Help carry this ministry forward.
